Unit Information

Whether serving on operations, deployed on a training exercise, a casualty in a road traffic accident or diagnosed with a serious illness, Service personnel can suffer a wounding, injury, or illness that may have a long-term impact on their lives and ability to continue their career.

Irrespective of the nature of the injury or illness, or how it occurred, there is a proven recovery process for serving personnel that all units should follow to correctly care for their wounded injured and sick as laid out in AGAI 99.

The Unit Welfare Officer or the Adjutant are the first points of contacts for more information on process, together with the Defence Recovery pages on the Defence Intranet, with the below offering an overview.
