Recovery courses

As part of your recovery pathway for an injury or illness that exceeds 56 days you will do between three and five mandatory courses. These courses are held at the Personnel Recovery Centres and at the Battle Back Centre in Lilleshall. They are designed to offer you both adaptive sporting opportunities as well as developmental courses in recovery tactics and employment possibilities for those who are leaving the Army.

The military courses run roughly once a month in each of the PRCs and last between five and ten days. Each course has a capacity of up to 16 soldiers at different stages in their recovery. Dress at the PRC for the courses is civvies, although the military staff working there and teaching will be in uniform.

There is more information about the details of each course on the Mandatory Courses pages.
