The Regiment is equipped with Magpie, Housekeeper, DII deployed, Bowman tactical radio and FALCON IT services.
22 Signal Regiment is based at Beacon Barracks, Beaconside, Stafford.
The Regiment delivers military Communications Information Systems (CIS) and Information Communication Services (ICS) to Headquarters Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (HQ ARRC) in order to enable the HQ to train and deploy on NATO EU, coalition or national operations.
The Regiment employs Royal Signals soldiers capable of being deployed at short notice to any area in the world providing Strategic Headquarters, satellite and HF communications alongside deployed computer networks and tactical radio.
Currently members of the Regiment are deployed in Afghanistan, Belize, Canada, Iraq, Kenya, Cyprus, USA, The Falklands and Nepal carrying out varied roles.
The unit also provides its soldiers with an exciting lifestyle integrating a wide range of sports and adventure training. Recent opportunities have seen soldiers trekking in Peru, Nepal and Skiing in Andorra. The skiing team have also had representatives who have travelled to Austria and France competing at Corps, Divisional and Army level.
Several members of 22 Signal Regiment has represented the Corps Rugby team (league and union) who have travelled to Cyprus, Ibiza and France to compete in various tournaments. 2015 saw the 22 Signal Regiment football team tour America.
