Royal Engineers Museum

The Royal Engineers Museum and Library & Archive received 'Designated' status for its entire collection in 1998. It is one of only three military or Regimental museums in the country to hold the coveted 'Designated' status, the others being the Tank Museum and specific collections held by the Firepower (Royal Artillery Museum).

The Museum is situated in the heart of the historic Medway Towns access to the Royal Engineers Museum, Library and Archive is easy whether your are visiting by car, foot or public transport.

There is something for everyone from armoured vehicles, a Harrier Jump Jet and even a V2! To rare silks from China, exquisite jewellery made by Zulu warriors and a superb photographic collection.

Opening times:

Tuesday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays 11.30am to 5.00pm. Please note that the museum is CLOSED on Mondays

Library and Archives: Tuesday and Wednesday 9:30am to 4:30pm, two weeks notice needed.
