The Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra

The Corps of Army Music has a 24 piece string orchestra, The Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra and it is based in Woolwich.

The Orchestra performs a variety of music (ranging from classical to pop) in various settings, including at high profile events such as Investitures and State Banquets as well as providing entertainment to receptions and mess events, both in the UK and abroad.

As well as playing core string orchestra repertoire, the orchestra will be utilising the very latest technology in the form of electric string instruments (when supporting the Army’s new pop group capabilities) and using digital sheet music.
