Assn of QM & LE Offrs RLC

The Association was formally formed on 21st October 1988 with approval of the Director General Transport and Movements and Colonels Commandant Royal Corps of Transport.

It was later reformed as the Association of Quartermasters of The Royal Logistic Corps on 5th April 1994 with the concurrence of the Director General Logistic Support (Army) and the Colonels Commandant The Royal Logistic Corps.

The title of the Association was amended to include Late Entry Officers following the Annual General Meeting of 5th October 2001. The inclusion of Late Entry Officers of the Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment was ratified at the 34th Annual General Meeting on 3rd October 2008.

The Association has 3 main aims

Membership is open to the following

  • All Retired Officers of The Royal Logistic Corps, the Forming Corps and the Queen's Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment who were commissioned pre-1988 as a Quartermaster or post-1988 as a Late Entry Officer are eligible for membership.

Associate Membership is open to the following

  • Serving Officers of The Royal Logistic Corps who hold a commission in the Territorial Army and have filled an established post of Unit Quartermaster for at least 3 years.

A small fee is incorporated into the cost of the Annual Dinner to cover administration which will be minimised by publishing information in the 'The Sustainer', the journal of the Royal Logistic Corps, the various newsletters of the Forming Corps where possible and the Association web page.

An Annual Dinner is normally held on the first Friday in October annually in The Royal Logistic Corps Headquarters Mess, Deepcut.
