Corporal Jarred Anthoney

Corporal Anthoney enlisted in the British Army 2009 and following training at Catterick he joined the Royal Regiment of Scotland and was posted to 5th Battalion (The Argyles and Southern Highlanders) in Canterbury. He later transferred to the 4th Battalion, The Highlanders.

During his time in the Regiment he has served twice in Afghanistan, first as as a LMG gunner on Op HERRICK 13 and subsequently as a dismounted vehicle commander on Op HERRICK 18.

He has also conducted exercises in Kenya, in 2012 and 2015, and Jordan, where he worked with indigenous forces teaching infantry tactics and providing mentoring and support. He has deployed twice to France for further training exercises in the largest purpose built urban environment training facility in Europe.

Perhaps his proudest moment came when he was selected to form part of the Queen’s Guard at Balmoral in 2013.

Cpl Anthoney was posted to CGS’s Briefing team on the 1 June 2015 as the team Corporal.
