Bristol

Bristol University Officer Training Corps (BUOTC) is one of 18 University OTCs. It serves the Universities of Bristol, Bath and University of the West of England.

If you are interested in a student life less ordinary and you're going to be attending University of Bristol, UWE, Bath or Bath Spa this September, read on....

Here at Bristol UOTC, the sky is the limit. With a crack team of staff and instructors dedicated to moulding you into a future leader in whatever path you chose to follow - whether in industry or the military - this is the premiere place to be. Many university clubs and organisations will ask you to join; you might be interested in football, skiing or mountaineering. Here at Bristol UOTC, we have our own teams from rugby and netball to skiing and polo. The difference is we pay you to be there and give you the opportunity to compete on a national and international level, against other Uni clubs, UOTCs as well as military units around the world.

What makes Bristol UOTC the best? Is it our recent success in the Queen's Cup? Our collection of Gold Cambrian medals? Or maybe it's the plethora of the adventures we go on both in Bristol and around the world.

Adventure Training and Military Skills Competitions are a huge part of our identity as an organisation. We encourage all of our students to take part in optional courses and events to improve their talents. To name a few just this last year, we sent students off to Norway to enhance their Nordic skiing skills, to Germany skydiving, Wales for climbing and Egypt scuba diving. We also offer plenty of opportunities to let your hair down such as black tie dinners and fancy dress parties that serve as an insight into mess life and culture.

BUOTC Alumni Association

Time with us does not end with graduation. Through our active Alumni Foundation our former Officer Cadets keep in touch with each other and maintain the strong friendships that develop in the UOTC. We hold annual Alumni Dinner Nights, to which all current and ex-members are invited.
